Beginners Judgment of DE Blades

So a newby question but looking for some guidance as I jump into safety razor shaving.

I purchased a Top 10 pack and the Gillette Variety Pack from Try A Blade and wondering how everyone figures out what blades are good and which once suck on your face.

The recommendations from the DE veterans are to experiment and try different blades but how do you settle with your brand or brands.

I am a daily shaver due to work appearance standards but will occasionally have a 2 day beard to work through. A couple times a year I will let it grow over vacations to upwards of a couple weeks.

What do you guys think?
