PS4 Pro on a 50 inch Samsung HD Smart TV... Worth it?

I bought a new 50 inch Samsung smart TV in 2015 long before the PS4 Pro was announced or rumours of one start to swirl.

I don't plan on getting or investing in a 4K TV anytime soon mostly cause I don't watch much TV besides Netflix and even then most channels haven't started offering 4K content besides for some games.

Anyway to the topic on hand. I bought a PS4 Slim this past Holiday season. However that was again before "boost mode" and before I realized I had Horizon Zero Dawn and Mass Effect Andromeda preordered.

I can sell my Slim and break even but was wondering if it was worth getting a Pro considering I'll be gaming on my 1080p 50 inch TV. I usually sit right in front of it on my comfy chair?
