Swiss citizen got married in Canada and decided to stay permanently after vacation

Hello

I got married to my Canadian wife in December 2016. During that vacation I decided to stay permanently. As far as I understand, as a visitor I have temporary resident status for 6 months. However I don't have any proof of temporary residence, because upon entering Canada my purpose of visiting was a vacation and not staying permanently. So I didn't get any documents upon entering Canada.

The spousal sponsorship application asks for a proof of temporary residence. How and where would I get such a document?
