Reservations/payment question

My SO and I are going up to NY in April for a little over a week. There is this really nice Marriott I want to stay at and we'll have no problem having the funds for it, but the total cost is a couple hundred over my CC limit.

Do you think there is a chance for my CC just to be used for incidentals and we pay the reservation with a debit?

Sorry if this is an absurd question.
