How to install channels

Little bit confused on this one , i have a bunch of apps like nintendont and my emulators for snes and gba inside my homebrew channel but i was wondering on how people turned these apps into channels on their wii menu so they dont have to go into the homebrew channel to use them. Thanks for the help.
