Just left decided to leave a DnD group for the first time. So I thought I'd ask, has anyone has any interesting stories about why they left a group?
Mine isn't really a negative experience. They group met at 9am and I worked until 1am the night before, every week. So that's the first issue.
Then there were the other players. The only guy I knew was the DM, a coworker. The first thing that I didn't like was it took us an hour plus to get started every session. Then, in game, several of the other players would hold up the game (interrupting the DM) with constant jokes and talking. Too add to interruptions, encounters would drag on flay longer than necessary because everyone would talk over one another rather than allow whomever to take their turn.
Now I understand that DnD is different for everyone. Some people just like to get together and crack jokes with friends and have fun. I prefer to immerse myself in the story a drink strategy of the game. So I felt the group wasn't for me.
