ISO of suggestions for semi-permanent red hair dyes, leaning towards more of a "natural red".
Hey all! I've been dying my hair various shades of red for ages, which, as we all know, is a very hard color to keep from fading. Until recently, I had a job with a pretty casual dress code, and would touch-up with a combo of Manic Panic vampire red / purple haze every few weeks. My hair is fine and easily damaged, but Manic Panic was really good to my hair - conditioned it beautifully, and I loved the color.
My problem now is that I've started another job that is not quite-so-casual, and I am trying to find a red or purple-red that is passable in a professional atmosphere. I can't do store box color (it really damages my hair), so I'm looking for suggestions for a brand similar to Manic Panic (vegan?, semi-permanent) with a slightly more "natural" shade of red.
I've done some cursory searching, but most reds I've come across in these categories are a bit too much for what I'm looking for. I've also tried some demi-permanent colors I found at Sally's Beauty Supply, but while I liked the color, the products themselves were not so nice to my hair. I have tried henna in the past, but my hair is naturally a very light blonde, and henna makes it unbearably, brilliantly orange, which is not necessarily what I'm going for.
Suggestions welcome, and thanks in advance!
