Massively important breakfast inquiry
Back in the dawn of time and the dinosaurs, I was a wee 11 year old. My parents sent me to Norway Camp through the sons of Norway to learn the Norwegian language.
I didn't learn any word of Norwegian, but I gained 20 lbs; despite being a hyperactive spas I ate huge meals because I learned to love the cuisine. What sticks in my mind and the camp food I dream about several millennia later was the "cream of wheat" type breakfast or maybe it was some type of steel cut oats.
I went gluten free 5 years ago and figured out even gluten free steel cut oats cause me difficulties, even when I use hemp milk and maple syrup only. I kinda want to try that type of "porridge" I had at Norway Camp again and verify if it cause me gut issues. But mostly I still dream about that breakfast.
Could you Nords help me out identifying what exactly was in that porridge and how it was made?
