I'm trying to start research. Whats up with professors never replying to your email?

Emailed the Research Professor 15 days ago, then again 5 days ago, then emailed some of his lab assistants - radio silence.

Any tips? Should I just call him, I dont think thats gonna be too successful since I don't know his office hours.
