[PC][Early 2000's]Puzzle game that starts off in a snowy area, on a boat maybe?

Platform(s): PC only from what I remember

Genre: Puzzle, 1st person.

Estimated year of release: Late 90's or early 2000's. It was part of a bigger series of puzzle games I think.

Other details: I think it started off in a snowy area with a docked boat or some broken structure. You had to place these odd stones in an alter-type area, 3 of which were found in the beginning boat area. I think there were 6 or 8 in total? These stones, once placed, brought you to full areas, I think one was Mayan themed or Jungle, where you'd solve puzzles. I remember a knife on the wall carving puzzle. A jigsaw-type puzzle. Some things using the full area.

I've heard the game was popular, but I just can't remember the name.
