About Link and Zelda in Skyward Sword (spoilers maybe?)

At the end of the game, Link and Zelda choose to stay on the surface, that much we know. But I remember reading somewhere that they were also the ones that founded the Hyrule Royal Family. Does anyone have any sources? Did this really happen or is it just implied?
