Looking for thoughts/opinions on first build before I start buying parts!

Build Ready

###Build Help/Ready:

Have you read the sidebar and rules? (Please do)

YES, I have.

What is your intended use for this build? The more details the better.

Primarily gaming with a little bit of personal video editing thrown in. Looking to handle the current level of games at a smooth 1080p and last me for the next few years. In addition to the general web browsing, music listening etc.

If gaming, what kind of performance are you looking for? (Screen resolution, framerate, game settings)

Nothing crazy, I am going to be happy with a smooth 60fps and 1920x1080p.

What is your budget (ballpark is okay)?

1200-1500$. I think what I have is in the upper echelon of what I am hoping to spend, but I am happy to put in the money for some good quality parts.

In what country are you purchasing your parts?

Canada!

Post a draft of your potential build here (specific parts please). Consider formatting your parts list. Don't ask to be spoonfed a build (read the rules!).

Provide any additional details you wish below.

Just looking for your thoughts and opinions on the build! First time builder, just want to make sure things are looking good before I go ahead. I can potentially see how I can maybe ease off on some parts in order to save money and maintain a good gaming rig, but I am just not sure which would be the ones to back off on without comprising the pc overall. Any input would be great!
