I just made a face first 3x3 method and it's cool

3x3

Before I show you this method, I want to tell you that I know this is not as good as CFOP or Roux. I only made it for fun and I'm sharing it with you because I thought it was interesting. Now for the method.

Step 1: make a face

All you have to do is blockbuild a face of one color. This is the same as building a layer except you don't have to permute the pieces.

Step 2: solve 2 middle layer edges

A great way of doing this is doing z U2 R2 and inserting the pieces with M and U moves. These can be adjacent or opposite depending on the situation.

Step 3: solve the last 2 middle layer edges while permuting the first layer corners

This is not as hard as it sounds. What you have to do first is take out one of the first layer corners from a slot without an edge and using keyhole tricks and put it in its correct place relative to the other corners. Now you should have 3 correctly permuted corners in the first layer and 1 first layer corner in the last layer. The next thing you have to do is connect that corner to one of the unsolved middle layer edges (make sure it is oriented correctly!!). To complete this step, insert the other middle layer edge while preserving the pair you just made, then insert the pair. Now you should have your equator done and all of the corners permuted in the first layer.

Step 4 (and 5 if done in 2 looks): Last layer + EPFL

I know 3 ways of doing this. OLL and PLL + EPFL (~700 algs), COLL and ELL + EPFL (~330 algs?), and OLLCP and EPBL (~370 algs). I see the most potential in the third one.

EDIT: I just realized that you can leave the last corner of the first layer out until step 3 and use keyhole to insert the first 3 middle layer edges. May or may not be better.
