[Discussion] Cold Showers / Hydrotherapy

I've recently started to take cold showers instead of hot showers, because I got tired of feeling cold hands and feet during the day. I'm only on my fifth cold shower and noticed some benefits. It has made me more tolerant of the cold weather, my skin and hair feel and look more healthy, and I feel more satisfied from sleep.

I initially started on warm/tepid showers followed by two minutes of the coldest my shower allowed. But on my fourth cold shower, I decided to go straight to coldest water setting from the beginning. My tip is to get your head wet ASAP, it makes the painful initial shock go by fast. Dive right in, get your hair wet, back and chest ASAP instead of dancing around. The difference is you spend less time dreading the cold water and you get adapted to the temperature faster.

So has anyone else tried taking cold showers? I will probably at minimum do it for 30 days, but I already think it's very addictive, enough to consider it as my daily morning routine.
