Streaming from a Server to... Something?

Hello.

I'm looking to host my content on a home server, and stream music and video from the server to my Big TV®, as well as use apps like WWE Network (this app is essential), Pandora, and Netflix.

Would a Fire Stick be the right device for these needs? Do I look for a compact desktop computer and stream from a server onto that? I was looking into using Kodi, but I think I would have to put Kodi on a device and then shut Kodi off and revert to Windows(?) for the WWE Network, as the WWE Network apps for Kodi are pretty unreliably updated.

Even after reading through the FAQ, I am still a bit lost. Any help is appreciated.
