Blue polyphage... sounds like glimmer that eats stuff

Breaking down polyphage: Poly=many, phage=that which devours. What I think blue polyphage, the thing that allows us to draw glimmer from the vex, is in the destiny lore is a substance which can devour many things (possibly anything) and turn into something else, in this case glimmer.

I would imagine that this is something the Vex use to supply themselves with ammunition? have a store of matter which is progressively eaten by the polyphage and turned into whatever they need at that moment. It wouldn't be like glimmer, since it's not a resource or an input, rather it's a method of manufacturing. Imagine it like a machine that, rather than being consumed, just breaks down after a while, when the timer for blue polyphage expires.

Maybe this is irrelevant but the thought made my experience farming glimmer from vex that much more satisfying. Hope it does the same for you guys
