Intel troop here, STOP retraining into my career field just because it has good job opportunities.

While many cross trainees (usually Tech/Master) are perfectly fine to work with, the majority I have worked with have no business in a career that requires critical thinking. This doesn't apply to those who actively try to improve their skills, just those that come in at 16+ years TIS to secure a cushy DIA/NASIC job that youll probably fuck up anyways.

tl;dr, if you only join intel for the money after the AF, stay in medical/MX where thinking isn't required for national security.
