Apple email fake?

Lets just say i have a significant other that isn't the most tech. savvy.

They got an email from supposedly "apple" saying a purchase was made.... Clicked the link (face palm) Then a prompt came up to enter apple ID, email and credit #. Now... To their credit the link was immediately closed. Nothing was entered as sensitive information goes.

Should I still possibly reformat even from just clinking the link?
