How many swipe rights do you get in a typical day...and other questions

Hello fellow redditors.

This is my first post to Reddit.

My target audience is men but women can chime in too.

I have never used dating apps before and after being single for a year after a long relationship and watching my ex get engaged to a Spaniard and move to Spain I thought I should get my act together and get on the scene.

How many notifications do you get of women showing interest in you through the "meet me" feature? I don't mean for this to be a dick measuring contest I am just trying to gauge.

I got almost 50 swipe rights that showed interest in me when I signed up for the first time on Tuesday night (I live in the Los Angeles area). So between that time and Wednesday night I got quite a few hits about half from women whom I swiped right on and other whom I have made no initiation. I guess I feel pretty good about this. About 1/4-1/3 of them were were hookers. The rest were bonafide women! Granted a fair number of them of them were like <=5 on a 1-10 scale. There were some some beautiful girls though. Am I experiencing beginner's luck or something? Catch is though I got what seemed like a lot of hits the first day, today has been rather quiet like only 3-4 real girls. I wasn't swiping like mad man like I was yesterday.

I have talked to about 8 of them. Almost met one last night and retrospect I am happy I didn't and one who wants to meet this weekend. I have 2 others that said they were down to meet but those conversations have kind of fizzled. Do you guys message every girl who swipes right right away ( aside from hookers and granted you show interest)? This leaves like 25 women whom I haven't made contact with yet. Should I still? Probably...

On setting up a date...How do you guys typically go from conversation to actual date? Have a planned destination before you ask them? Or do you figure it out afterward? I feel that if you get the girls "OK" about meeting and then don't quickly arrange a time and destination in that same day the whole thing fizzles. What do you think?

I noticed that for women who swiped right on me I had to immediately swipe right on them when you get a notification that they showed interest or else they may be lost to a sea of pics. You can't see who likes you without upgrading, but they tend to be the second swipe on my deck of pics the moment they swipe right.

Can you start talking to someone like a week later after showing mutual interest? Is our conversation lost in a sea of other conversations or does mind go to the top of the queue?

Do you guys message girls who have viewed your profile? Do you message girls who have shown no interest? Like girls who are near me or girls who are deemed a match by POF.
