Looking for Trade School funds for Missouri Welding Institute

Hi guys, so I've been offered a great great opportunity with some family of mine traveling and welding and pipe fitting. My only issue is I've never welded before in my life. This has always been a dream of mine and two days ago I heard of a school near me with a 3 and a half month program. My family says that they've worked with some of the people who've came out of thee and their fantastic welders and with that short learning time I'm completely ready for it. My only issue is that I can't find anywhere to give me a student loan. The school is not credited by the government so I can't use federal pale grants so use student loan companies like wells Fargo or Sallie mae. I'm mostly wondering if this is a normal thing? Has anyone heard of this school before? When I called them they told me to go to a website and I'd need a cosigner with a good credit score which sounds odd to me. Just wondering what you guys thought, thanks
