UPDATE: The day is almost here... BMs first visit of 2017
A couple weeks ago I posted about BM's first visit...
Since that visit, the kids have been acting up. One hit our dog. I heard the oldest swear under his breath when he was talking to his sibling. Both school-age kids have gotten in trouble at school - the oldest told another kid to shut up and pushed his shoulder and has also been talking during class; the middle child didn't listen to his teacher. These are the FIRST TIMES all school year that these kids have done anything wrong - seriously. Magically, the week after she visits, the middle kid gets his first "frowny face". The week before and a couple weeks after the visit, and the middle kid is failing his in-school work (when he used to get at least 80's on everything).
Also, the middle child has completely reverted and is having accidents in their pants again - hadn't had one since August. And lied about them... The youngest has been the only one that is showing normal behavior (toddler behavior).
It -could- be coincidence... these kids were THRIVING here... but I don't think it is.
How can we help the kids get back to "typical"?? Please- drowning here. The kids have not been this naughty since coming here for the school year.
They're obviously hurting but it doesn't seem like anything we do is helping :(
