Anybody ever get hit with a distracted driving ticket?

Friend of mine got a ticket today for distracted driving, while briefly checking her gps.

The ticket went for 490$ and six points. Is there any hope for her to get out of this or at least lowering the price tag?

Would appreciate any advice (aside from the obvious don't check the GPS comment lol)
