Wedding Dress with No Tags from a Sample sale? Is this even possible?

Ok so I have been looking at local ads for a second-hand / used wedding dress that I can use for my wedding reception (limited budget and already got a nice ceremony dress), and I have come across some brides selling dresses with NO TAGS.

I have asked the sellers why there were no tags, and I was just told that they got the dresses in Sample sales and the dresses got their tags removed, therefore, I do not have proof of their model number or what brand, as they don't have tags at all.

Is this even possible? I am trying to look for resources online regarding Sample Sale dresses not having tags, and I just couldn't find one that tells me if this is possible or not.

It just feels weird buying a dress with no tags, and me not knowing what style or size a certain dress is.
