Made DIY Shoe Trees using Cedar chips and Nylon socks.
Spent some time on the forum to see if I could find a cheaper alternative to cedar show trees. Didn't want to stuff my shoes with newspaper or socks because of the odor and wanted the aromatic factor. I thought of using cedar chips which can be bought in bulk at more stores from the pet bedding section. Nylon stockings cost me 33 cents at Walmart and the red cedar bedding cost $3.84.
Much cheaper (with more time) than buying $10-25 shoe trees.
I'm planning on doing this for all my shoes since i have so much cedar chips left and see how they work.
Let me know what you guys think and if you would want a tutorial or something on how I did it. Figure someone might also be in the same boat.
Cheers! DIY Shoe Tree Alternative
