Canal maps of North America

We're planing on sailing from Lake Ontario to the Gulf of Mexico and were considering taking canal routes (we're enjoying u/ShaunSailing's videos). However, we're finding it difficult to do research because we can't find decent maps. Is there a way to have Google Maps or alike show the canals in a usable way? Ideally we'd be able to zoom in and out, see the canal in relation to close cities etc. Cheers in advance crew!
