Need advice transitioning please!

Hi, I'm a new cuber, I started about 4 months ago and have gotten down to 50 seconds on beginners method, I was wondering when would be a good time to switch to CFOP and learn new algorithms, should I wait until I'm quicker at beginners, or try now. Please any advice is good.
