GM doesn't give legally allotted breaks and encourages employees to work off the clock/on break. Advice?

I work at a relatively new branch of a nationwide fast food chain that just opened up in my area (Oregon).

It's slam packed full of people all day and severely understaffed. Due to this, most days the full-timers usually get 1-2 of their 3 daily breaks, if they're lucky. In addition to not getting breaks we're expected to run around all day like a bunch of crazy people and work several positions simultaneously ( I'm often cooking fries, making sandwiches and taking money all at once for 7-8 hours straight with only one 10 or 30 min break). The GM also encourages/ allows people to work off the clock or on breaks to "help out the team".

Is there anything we can do to get our lawfully allotted breaks? And any advice on how to stop them from encouraging people to work off the clock/ on break?

I just don't want to have to go to work anymore and pull freak circus acts all day to barely get the food out, then not get any kind of break. All advice welcome.
