Ashes to Ashes
I read the description for ashes... lol, "Trash".. I am a keen supporter of using all our resources and not wasting a thing. Could we have ashes be useful? Like for instances, there are many real life uses for ashes. Below I would like to list a few idea's I've had for the uses of ash:
-
Enriching compost - We have fertilizer for the plants we farm such as corn and wheat, but what about the soil these plants sit in? Maybe we could Add ash to the soil before using the ground tiller to cause the soil to become enriched and much more effective for farming purposes?
-
Neutralize odors - Maybe we can use the ash on our bases to neutralize our odors, making zombies spawn around the base less frequently?
-
Soap! - Soaking ashes in water makes lye, which can be mixed with animal fat and then boiled to produce soap. Salt makes it harden as it cools. Why not? lol Maybe the same application as for neutralizing your odor around the base, but of course, on your body instead. Neutralizing that tasty smell that is attracting the zombies to it's next meal.
These are my three suggestions for the use of ash in the order which I feel would be most appropriate for the game. Though these are my suggestions, I do want a discussion out of this as well.. I may have the Flair stated as suggestion, as I want to suggest these ideas, but I would love to have everyone post their suggestions and add to this suggestion/discussion below!! I am intrigued to see what awesome idea's we can get for the use of ash! :P
