Smart casual shoes?

Hi all, looking to buy some decent quality but affordable shoes for smart casual wear. I know that CDBs are immensely popular over at MFA but just wondering if there's any alternatives at a similar price point. It appears that Julius Marlow, Windsor Smith and Aquila all have a pretty shoddy rep around here but they are the brands that I always see. What are the brands that I should be looking for? Brick and mortar store preferably.
