Could I eat bugs from my garden?

Hey there! I am happy to see that this subreddit exists. To make a long story short, I've always been open to eating insects and indeed, have enjoyed eating the occasional sautéd cricket but I was wondering what other insects I could eat. I ask if insects found in my garden could be edible because last year, my garden was completely infested with Japanese beetles and they have no doubt been laying plenty of eggs in there. I figure it would be less frustrating to deal with if the little buggers were edible. Suddenly my garden would produce even more food.
