Did everybody just forget how to play?

I've played about 20-25 matches today and nearly ALL of my deaths were from people pushing me off ledges. Just spamming X until they hit one and then shove me off a ledge. Is this the new meta that is taking form. If it is this needs to be stopped in its tracks. What do you think about only going for ledge kills, is it a viable strategy?
