I'm Alive Because of a Guy I've Never Met

Series

[Part one] (https://www.reddit.com/r/nosleep/comments/5txa7p/im_alive_only_because_of_a_guy_i_never_met/), check.

Part two, double check.

I checked my phone on the way to double check I had went to the correct place. The empty street was definitely unnerving. As much as I want to trust this is safe, I don’t like the feeling I am getting from this area.

Regardless, if I want the help of a person I could potentially trust, I have to go here. I opened the door to the building and peeked in, “Hello?”

A chill went down my spine and I felt a tug on my arm.

I glanced around after I jumped, but no, just me. This is getting more creepy by the minute. Not only is this place seemingly abandoned, but if Buue wants to make sure I’m safe, this isn’t helping at all.

I heard a voice call from an inside room and I glanced at the door suspiciously, “Can’t we meet somewhere else, [Buue] (https://www.reddit.com/user/Buue2/)?”

He replied with a no and I shuddered at the thought. I passed by the dusty tables and floors, looking at the grimy counters and dirty machines.

As I stepped behind the counter, the floor became tacky and so did almost everything I touched. The color became darker and coppery, and the air grew colder. I should leave and I called out so.

Yet, the reassuring voice still beckoned me in, “Hey, Buue! If you don’t come out! I’m leaving!”

I heard a bang and scraping of objects on the floor, then footsteps all around me. I felt more relaxed and the voice became closer, “Just hold on a bit. I’ll be out in a moment. You do realize this place is built like a fortress, it’ll be safer at the inner parts than outer.”

I grimaced and replied, “I would rather not.”

“Suit yourself.” The footsteps retreated and I looked around my general area as I waited. It felt like hours, days even, but my watch told me it was only a couple of minutes at most. A wave of fatigue washed over me and I thought about if I had gotten any sleep lately.

Eventually, it bothered me that despite waiting for so long, Buue hadn’t come out yet. I opened the door that was closed for eternity and called out, “How long are you going to keep me waiting?”

No response. I stepped in and shut it quietly. It led to a corridor that resembled...mental wards. You know, those isolation rooms with a sliding viewport? That’s what I stand before now. The color, it was an unnatural red, as if painted over and over again until it was just right. Then again when the color grew dull as it dried. A strange smell emitted from the walls and heard a voice. Not the first one, but a more...hollow one. Telling me to leave.

But...if I do now, how can I be safe?

Just as the thought came into my head, the dimly lit corridor went completely dark as the lights went out. I placed my hand onto the wall to guide me and quickly drew it back, feeling the freezing cold surface.

I backed up slowly until I reached the entrance to the corridor and placed my hand on the knob.

Only to feel a clammy hand.

I screamed and struggled just before an arm covered my mouth and bit. I heard an intake of breath but the captor was determined. A curse was heard as a door far down the corridor opened and slammed closed. The sound sent waves of dread over my body. I struggled unsuccessfully, wanting to escape and run, and only stopped when light reached my eyes, familiar light.

Sunlight.

I looked at my captor for the first time, seeing a teen with glasses and a sweaty face, donning a hoodie and jeans, areas bloody where I struggled to free myself. “Fuck, shoulda said something! Nearly caused both of us to be killed.”

“Wh-Are you Buue?” I exclaimed, as my mind finally worked correctly and I put everything together. The building, blood on the floor, walls, counter. Isolated rooms to keep anyone from hearing or being heard. Being dragged out to safety.

He nodded, “Guarantee, the one and only.”

I twirled around and looked for the building, fearing whatever was in the abandoned cafe to come out. But…”Where is the building?”

He glanced behind him, “That cafe? Existed at one point, but torn down. What you entered wasn’t a real building, but a ruse to draw you in. Didn’t I tell you to stay where you are once you arrived?”

I glanced at my phone and opened Line, and there we go, he did send that message. Although…”I never...received it. Until now.”

He raised an eyebrow, “Never did? Ah.” Understanding filled his face and he turned right, “Tim, she came way earlier than I expected then, right?”

I heard a voice speak out of thin air and jumped, suddenly hugging Buue. “Yup. Sorry, Ryan. Couldn’t do anything without making her freak on me.”

Buue...or Ryan...sighed bitterly, “Served me right for getting a snack. Couldn’t you at least...call out? Tell her you are a good friend of mine?”

“As I said, she’d freak and run in anyways. I tried pulling her out, but damn, whatever wanted her was much stronger than what I’d ever manage to muster. Had to wait for you.”

Buue nodded understandably, “Well, Sylv, close call again.”

I nodded, “It is. Why is it that you just come at the right time at the right place?”

He shrugged, “I’m a lucky guy. Back in highschool, I was called ‘De Machina’ because of me just being at the right place at the right time. Every time.”

“Oh,” came my simple reply, “Who, or what is Tim?”

Ryan looked into the distance, “Tim’s a good friend of mine. Although he’s one of them, so you can’t see him. Just like your hunter right now. Tim's friendly of course.”

It reminded me of the help he gave twice. I was grateful and told him so, to which he shrugged off, seemingly sad that I thanked him.

He looked up at Tim and nodded, looking at me for a moment then back. He gestured and frowned. Ryan looked at me and asked sharply, “What did he sound like? Tim wants to narrow down who it is.”

I tried hard to recall, which was surprisingly more difficult than I imagined. “I think when he would be normal, a smooth, soothing, tempting voice, but in ‘demon’ mode, it would be a...you know,” I rolled my hands, “That husky, breathy one.”

Ryan leaned back and sighed, his face paling, “Oh shiba. Tim...you definitely hit the damn bullseye again. Good for you, but it really fucks things up for her.”

For the first time I met him, Ryan was unnerved, “Ryan?”

He shuddered, “Sylvia, you’re in the sights of the worst man you could be in the sights of. Tim says that Junior is the son of Jack the Ripper.”

When he said the name, he gave a frustrated and mournful look, as if he had a history with Junior before.

Now, from what Ryan told me, Junior and Tim are both a species of 'unique humans' they are essentially like poltergeists, invisible to a normal person, but they can interact just fine with humans. They are still human, but are of somewhat a different race than we are. We all have parts of their genes. The time you thought you were alone but you weren't because your friend is also in the room? Or your significant other? Yes, it's because we are like them. We still are them. If we don't focus, we lose track of each other, because of that gene 'hiding' us. But Tim, he and his race contain much more than we do, and can 'hide' in plain sight. According to Tim, only as few as two million exist throughout the world, so you don't have to worry about them being everywhere.

Much.

Back to Junior, because he's a descendant of Jack the Ripper, it explains why JtR hasn't ever been found or identified. There is no way any human would be able to to catch him. He’s invisible to most of the population, and even if you were like Ryan, you don’t have much leads to go on if you were a detective.

Anyhow, if anyone has a question, go ahead and PM me or comment. I’ll give my best answer to your question. Just know that I may not answer it if I am answering that question in the third part and will say so. If you want to ask about my current situation, nothing much from Junior. Which is good, as I need one more day to type up the rest of the info he’s shared.
