[Spoilers] Why the Flash is slipping away from its previously held position of being "great" tv....

Spoilerspoiler

The Flash is barely even a great show right now. The last couple of episodes were good but its been a while since we've had a great episode (not counting the crossover). And I truly feel like a major cause of this is the repetitiveness. One example I'm going to highlight is secrets. Every story beat seems to be peppered with secrets, secrets, secrets. Its all about secrets being held, then finally being revealed, a character saying they did it because they were scared and didn't want to endanger the others, Barry and the others reassure the secret keeper that their a team and they'll go through this together. It's so boring and its like the writers can figure out a way to instill drama without secretkeeping. So let's look at this season. Caitlin had a secret. Barry had a secret. Iris had a secret. Wally had a secret. H.R. had a secret. Now we also know due to the synopsis' and a spoiler room from EW that Caitlin will have another secret in the future and Barry/Iris will have a secret. Worst part is that these secrets instill the worst type of drama. Its forced and only derails the plot. This secrets aspect is what is truly reducing my enjoyment everytime it becomes relevant.

Sorry for the rant but I had to get it off my chest.
