So how long do you think this little graffiti surge is going to last?

I've been feeling more and more disillusioned by the game as the day goes on, Can't figure out if people really do it for the love or if people are just exited by the idea of sharing it online for their IG audience. I have such a hard time believing that people would still do this if they couldn't post the video and shit. Not even writers, but now the photographers who flick it are benefiting from this. Using whatever little attention they get to boost their ego with this whole gimme credit bullshit. What happened to just for the love and happy that someone else saw it?

I wonder how long this will last. I know 100% no doubt IG and graffiti are one thing for most people. And i'm not just counting the "street art" or the "toys" that use IG to flex, I'm also including the gritty throwup only writers who I see truly crushing. They're just as heavy with the stamplicking as the fags who are barely getting started.

I look up the hashtag for my citie's graff. Don't get me wrong I use it too to find other writers and see stuff that I won't catch in the streets, but it's so rare for me to NOT find a writer on IG, Is there anyone left who does it for themselves?

I'm looking at everybody here, would Guns really be doing all this shit if it weren't for the followers (yes, I know he's been at it for a while, but guess what? He sells shit on there, it's another marketing platform, he couldn't sell those if he didn't have an audience that knew him from there, especially all the people who have never and never will see a GUN in person) Not trying to point a finger just at him.

I feel heartbroken, I'm not saying I'm above it, but I can tell you I don't post everything I do, fuck, I post less than 5% of what I do. And i'm not public about it either.

We're moving fast, everybody was on FB 7 years ago, now you can be on the snap or the gram, what will come next and can graffiti capitalize on the next social platform?

Yea i'm a lil fucke dup watching videos but damn man. Can't help but feel that everything is fake and people just need to make sure other people are paying attention. Shout out to every single true writer out there not stamp licking.
