[Organic Chem 2] Retrosynthesis from multiple synthons

I could really use some pointers on how to solve these types of problems. I've tried looking at it from every way possible. I tried working backward from the product to the reactants, and forward from the reactants to the products. I've manipulated one synthon before to get a product, but I just don't understand how to connect multiple synthons.
