Rode NT USB

Hey, I was wondering does it matter if the microphone (front) is upside down or side-ways? Because I was planning on buying a boom arm (Rode PSA1) and I can't imagine have the microphone upside down or flat right infront of me blocking my screen. So I was wondering is it okay to put it on a boom arm and have it facing side-ways? will this cause any issues with voice pickup and quality?

So my question is, will the microphone pick up my voice with the microphone side-ways (front mic still facing me) just as good as using it straight or up side down?
