OPTC IRL, but for Singles
I saw a post about what it's like to play this game while being married/in a long term relationship, and I thought I'd make a post for those of us who aren't there yet in life. How does playing OPTC affect your day-to-day? How has it impacted time management, responsibilities, and relationships? I am always curious to see how other people do with this stuff.
Personally, I play all the time. I am at a point in the game (over PLv. 300 and 700 days) where I can farm almost everything, and I am f2p. I have plenty to farm, and I've been gemming for copies instead of pulling in Sugo (mostly). I play through my stamina when I wake up, schedule my morning alarm to account for playtime, figure out time to gem during the day if possible (which it rarely is because I'm busy with classes), and usually sacrifice a few hours a week for the extra stamina bar's worth of copies. I also gem for most turtle times (JP has a ton now that they're all CYO). All of my family and friends know I play but few know what One Piece is or care enough to ask. I respect their time and rarely play around them unless everyone is just hanging out and doing their own thing. I have one friend who also plays, and we talk about it some. Though I play a lot, I still manage my course load well, play saxophone and practice daily, and participate clubs and other opportunities. I personally see my ability to manage everything in my life AND play this game as a feat. I rarely let my bar refill completely, and I always use up stamina from a surprise snail. Anyone else proud of how well they balance? (or not do as well with the balance?)
