It's all just a show, isn't it?

I'm at the library, working up the motivation to get going on a 5-pager that's due at midnight. I slept maybe four hours, woke up at 6:30am, haven't napped. Someone came by passing out bags of snacks & drink powder with a note inside that says "National College Senior Honor Society", so I guess it's promotional. They dropped a bag on my table as they went around, saying "good luck on midterms." I finished my midterms today. The first went really well, the second could have gone better. That's the way the pencil drops I suppose. It was nice of them to pass out goodie bags, even if it was for promotional purposes.

The paper's going to be on sustainable living. It's a proposal. We want to subsidize already-present sustainable initiatives - you know, give them visibility, make sure people are aware of them, that kind of thing. I certainly didn't know about any of them before taking this class, and now that I am I feel like there's a lot of good going unnoticed. Maybe if we put more posters up, people would be more exposed to the green movement and everyone would reduce their carbon footprints, a little bit at a time... using a reusable bag at the grocery store. Recycling that thing instead of landfilling it. It would be good, you know? Get everybody on board, get a good mentality, help us along to the future. The posters I want to put up, I want to do them WWII-style: "if you're driving alone, you're driving with hitler!" "Are you doing all you can?" and the baking-soda lady: "We can do it!" That kind of thing. Keep it in the back of everyone's minds, get those positive behaviors flowing.

There's this girl I know. It'd have been nice if she wasn't just being nice.
