Can someone tell me if an intel iphone 7 (att version) will work on verizon?

I know that the intel version is missing some cdma hardware but I was told by a verizon rep that my phone should work wherever an LTE signal is available, which is pretty much everywhere in Chicagoland area. Can someone verify this? I want to switch to verizon but my iphone is holding me back becuase apple decided to make 2 versions this year.
