[Spoilers] Why Connor isn't being a total asshole
I feel like the episode makes it seem like Connor is being an asshole to cover for his own partial guilt/him being there the night of the fire. That's mainly due to the way Oliver questioned him combod with him being confronted by BonBon, Asher and Michaela.
For context, I don't believe that Connor killed Wes. While it may be possible it was an accident/regret as to why he was doing CPR Connor really doesn't feel like the type of guy that would do something like that if he had a part in it.
My theory is that Connor checked his voicemail and came straight to AKs place. He went in to find Wes in the basement and nobody else there, and tried to do CPR on him to save him. Heard somebody coming in (Laurel) and thought it was the killer or something and ran so he's the person who Laurel saw run out the storm door. Reason he keeps implying it's AK and asked Oliver to go through her phone is because he really thinks that she did it. As far as he knew, Annalise called them all to meet at her place and when he shows up he finds Wes dead? So he asked Oliver to look into her phone records to see if it was true, and also why he's constantly implied it throughout the season. Also highly doubt that if Connor was involved, he'd be dumb enough to ask Oliver to look through AK's phone records. Sooo Connor isn't just being his total asshole self, he legitimately thinks that AK did it.
