Good personal settlement and base?

I'm looking for somewhere I can safely store all my gear and call home. I've already used red rocket station as a trading hub but every other settlement is untouched. I'm joining the brotherhood this play through so the airport is an option but I'm not certain yet where to build.

I'm on PS4 by the way and I'm joy currently using mods. Any help or advice is greatly appreciated.
