[Help] Memory Usage

K so I haven't played seriously in many months so maybe I'm missing out on something. Any idea why kancolle (using KC3) started to eat ram like nothing? With 8gb it quickly ate up whatever wasn't used, leading to shittons of lag due to it eating too much of it. I tried clearing cache and restarting the pc and hoped it helped. It seemed like it did since it ate way less launching than before, but slowly but surely it eventually ate everything else. What's up with that?
