Complaining about medals...

I'm probably going to get some hate for this, but medals do in fact matter. I play in a 2 stack with my friend, so I have a general idea of medals when I'm gold with 44 elims as Hog, and my friend is silver at 18 elims as Rein. If I bring this up to the team, I get a "stfu, medals don't matter!" Even when we are playing single support, triple DPS, and double tank. This is a constant theme in my games. I'm not trying to be condescending or anything, but if my Soldier doesn't have at least bronze in elims or at the very least damage, he's not doing his job. I try to bring it up in a nice way. I don't just say "Dude, switch FFS you suck." But I won't standby while he just pisses the game away. I peaked at 4095 SR and took a break, decaying to 3100. I have blasted through diamond and I'm at about 3650 rn but even in high level games, this still happens. Sorry if this is ranty or comes off as me being a dick, but this is how I feel, and a lot of people feel this way too. Thanks for reading :) leave your thoughts on this below if you like.
