Waiting 2+ weeks for Adsense account approval for Youtube. Friend just got their's instantly.

Hello,

It's been over 2 weeks since I tried to create an Adsense account for my YouTube channel and it still says

"Your application is currently in review. Within a week of your application date, we'll review your application and follow-up with you via email. Once you are approved to join AdSense, you'll be able to log in to your account and get started."

My friend just created one and it was approved within a day even when she doesn't have any videos yet. Why is mine still under review?
