HP C7000 - How many power cords needed?
I'm working to get a donated HP C7000 blade enclosure up and running. I've got an L6-30 outlet installed in my lab, but I need to somehow convert that to C19 receptacle(s) since that's what the enclosure needs.
The enclosure has 6 power supplies and a matching 6 C20 plugs on the back. The manual mentions a power bus so I'm wondering if there's a direct correlation between number of power cords and number of power supplies. In other words, could I run two power supplies with only 1 cord?
The long version of the question is that I'm trying to figure out if I need a PDU to get multiple C19 outlets, or if I could just get a L6-30 to C19 cable and run the enclosure off one power cord which would save me about $120.
This will only be used when I'm actively labbing so I'd probably only ever power up 2 or 3 blades at a time and I wouldn't see power draw going above 1500 watts or so.
