Downscaling Resolution?

I noticed when using ChromeOS that the native 1920x1080 resolution of my CB is downscaled to 1536x864 resulting in a normal and readable screen.

That option is not available in the display settings of GalliumOS it appears. I tried simply adding a 1536x864 resolution which has the correct size, but is very fuzzy using xrandr.

Is there a way to downscale the resolution so everything is bigger but also sharp? I noticed in the xrandr output there is a listing for a display called VIRTUAL1 which had the 1536x864 resolution.

VIRTUAL1 disconnected (normal left inverted right x axis y axis)
