How do you effectively play Sombra?

I have been playing Sombra a bit in Comp, and my team always flames at me for picking her. I personally choose to play her on attack, but with some acceptions to defence. Anyways, I wanted to know to how to play her effectively so that I know how to really make her feel like an asset to the team instead of a troll pick and also knowing to play her properly.
