[Indiana] Getting charged with manslaughter for selling a pill.
Okay so I bought 3 Oxycontin 80MG's off of my dealer. I went to my friend A's house afterwards to show him my stash as we had never seen an Oxycontin 80MG pill before and he bought one off of me.
Well I leave A's and go home and crush one of those up. I get a small line lined up and snort it and I immediately can tell it's fentanyl or an analogue of fentanyl. I am a pretty seasoned user and only 1/5th of this pill had me very messed up.
I texted A and sent him exactly this; "Hey bro, those might be fent, please be careful. I am probably going to take the loss and throw mine away. I don't mess with this shit." and left it at that.
Well come to find out, A overdosed and when he did, he was alone and passed away. I miss my friend dearly and in the midst of dealing with the passing of a friend, 4 police officers came to my house and were showing me the text I sent him and asking if I sold him something that would cause him to OD and I told them what happened and they said that I will probably be getting charged with manslaughter after the autopsy.
Any advice?
Edit: Charges are not being pursued due to lack of evidence. I want to thank you guys for all your advice and support.
