[S1E1] Question about abductors

Did they ever explain who the guys that abducted Oliver and Tommy were? They were asking about Ollie's dad and then they got killed. I'm guessing they are related to Merlyn and Moira? Were they mentioned who they were with again and what they were after? Were they going to kill Ollie and Tommy?
