How's the Destiny Collection now?

I bought the Destiny base game when it was released, found it enjoyable as a game but didn't get very much else out of it, didn't play PVP much and didn't farm loot.

The Collection is now $50 locally and I'm considering picking it up again. Probably wouldn't plan on using the level boost, would rather get my money's worth, but is the game enjoyable still? Have any of the previous issues that people had with the game been resolved?
